Isabella Watkins
I’m from Twillingate, NL. I moved to St. John’s in 2018 to complete my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family and going on walks with my dogs. In my spare time I often travel to Twillingate to pick berries, craft and spend time with my family.
My grandparents are very special to me, In 2018 my pop Bridger was diagnosed with Cancer, he passed away shortly after. My pop is one of the reasons I was inspired to be a nurse.
Each summer, I worked as a Nurse Collegian, floating between Medicine and LTC nursing units. My favourite part of being a nurse is developing a strong nurse patient relationship. I enjoy chatting and connecting with each family and client I work with. I started my Nursing Career as a Registered Nurse in gerontology, moving to Community Health shortly after. I completed Eastern Health’s advanced foot care course, with a goal to provide foot care and wound-care services full time.
I continue to work in community health on a casual basis, however, I am very excited to join Monastery Health to provided nursing services to St. John’s and surrounding areas. “
